Writer/Contributor Terms of Service

Disclaimer:

No employee/employer relationship exists between Publishers’ Vault and any contributors to this site. Publishers’ Vault can not insure any compensation from articles submitted to the site.  Any income you may receive is completely dependent upon the interaction of visitors with the advertising on your articles. Publishers Vault does not make any guarantees or warranties as to the achievement of any expected results from any materials published on this site.

To make any revenue from your articles on this site you will have to join (or already be a member of) the Amazon.com Associates program. To make any revenue from the optional Chitika or Kontera advertising on Publishers Vault the member will have to sign up for these third party advertising programs.

Your advertisements will appear on your articles, on average, 75% of the time.  Publishers’ Vault is not liable for payment from these third-party advertisers, and is also not liable for any federal, state, or local taxes resulting from any payments from these advertisers.*

License Agreement:

All articles submitted to Publishers’ Vault must be of at least 400 words in length and contain at least one photo. Articles must be written in English and must not contain spelling errors or excessive errors in grammar. Articles may contain 1 outgoing link.This link may be to your Amazon aStore if you choose.

If you have attained ‘Author’ status this 1 outgoing link may be an affiliate link, or banner ad, from your already approved Commission Junction affiliate program (www.cj.com). No other affiliate links are allowed for this one outgoing link without prior written consent from Publishers Vault. Publishers Vault considers a phone number to be an affiliate link.

You will gain additional links for articles over 900 words. Links to websites in which you have no interest are not subject to this requirement (i.e., Wikipedia.org) and you may place additional links to this site when needed.

In addition to your one allowed outgoing link you may also place up to 8 Amazon Associate quick-links within your article.  You may also insert one Amazon widget. You will gain extra Amazon links and widgets for articles over 900 words in length.

All Amazon links and widgets must be placed using the buttons inside your text editor (the “a” button and “quick-link” search button). Any manually placed (pasted) Amazon links or widgets are automatically removed and replaced by our software filter.

Publishers’ Vault reserves the right to remove any articles, media, or external links or assign a nofollow tag to any links at any time. Publishers Vault is in no way obligated to publish any material submitted to the site for publication and does so at its sole discretion.

Articles must not appear overly promotional in nature (no sales pitches). Articles are not allowed that are written purely to drive traffic to other sites. Articles may not contain out of context phrases or hidden keywords intended solely to deceive search engines or to make product sales.

Contributors retain all rights to their content and grant Publishers’ Vault exclusive rights to publish their material on www.publishersvault.com. The author has the right to remove his content from the site at any time. All content submitted must be original and may not exist anywhere else on the Internet.** Content submitted must not be spam,  scraped from other sites, or be auto-generated from software or “spun” articles. Publishers’ Vault uses Copyscape to insure original content.  Every article submitted to this site is checked for originality and any attempt to publish plagiarized/duplicate/spam content will lead to the immediate removal of your member account, and your IP address will be blocked from membership on this site.

Advanced English writing skills are required of all our members. An unacceptable level of skill in written English will lead to the removal of your article drafts and your member account. The minimum acceptable level of skill is generally considered to be that of a native English speaker with a high school education or equivalent.

Publishers’ Vault and its advertisers do not allow materials that contain:

•Any pornographic or adult material.
•Any offers for illegal activities, products or services.
•Promotion of drugs, or any related paraphernalia.
•Promotion of excessive profanity or violence
•Promotion of discrimination or material that infringes on the legal rights of others.
•Promotion or any attempt to profit from human tragedy or suffering that lacks any social, artistic, or political value.
•Incentives for users to click on pay-per-click ads, or any activity that artificially enhances website/advertiser metrics.
•Promotion of illegitimate programs and offers, such as ponzi schemes or high yield investments.
•Content intended to deceive or mislead for the purpose of increasing traffic, clicks, or sales.
•Sales or offers that contain certain weapons, alcohol, tobacco, or any related paraphernalia.

Contributors agree to never generate false traffic to their articles (surf bots), generate false clicks or impressions, click on their own pay-per-click advertisements (Chitika and Kontera), or use a third party to do so.  Members must not click on other members’ pay-per-click advertisements unless they are genuinely interested in the product or service advertised.

Publishers Vault reserves the right to remove a member’s account at any time for any reason. If a member is removed Publishers Vault will relinquish all publishing rights to the removed member’s content and the member’s content will be deleted from our site.

Any submitted content that we believe violates this agreement is also subject to removal without prior notification. If a member is removed we will pay out any outstanding balance they may have in their PVAN account within 90 days.* If a member is removed for fraudulent activity (false clicks) any outstanding PVAN account balance will be returned to our advertising partners. Publishers’ Vault also reserves the right to alter our policies without notice.

Publishers Vault is in the beta test phase. Changes, interruptions, and shutdowns  in website services and hosting can and will occur. Back up all data (articles, videos, audio) you have submitted to this site as we are not responsible for any loss of this data. Our use of advertising, ad placement,  and affiliate programs and partners are also subject to change at any time without notice.

Member Privacy Policy

Publishers’ Vault will never sell or give away your personal information to any third party.  Publishers’ Vault will use your personal information only to contact you, for internal purposes relating to your member account, and to send you updates, notices, and announcements.  We will also take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information against loss or misuse.

* We are currently testing our Publishers Vault Affiliate Network (PVAN) at this time. You may opt in to our beta Affiliate Program and receive commissions on sales from our affiliate partners’ advertisements on your articles. These commissions are paid directly from Publishers Vault and not a third party network. When this service is fully functional you will be required to fill out a tax form (W-9 for U.S. citizens) before being paid revenues over $600 USD from the PVAN. You must have an Amazon.com Associates ID, and add it to the “My Advertising” ID box, to be eligible for the PVAN. You will find the instructions on joining Amazon Associates in your author dashboard after signing up for Publishers Vault.

**We do allow articles to be moved from other sites and published on Publishers’ Vault,  but this is on a case by case basis only. It must be confirmed in advance that the article no longer exists on the previous website or in search engine caches.  Contact support before attempting to publish this type of article.
